Make Some Noise: The Amnesty International Campaign To Save Darfur will get its physical release on Wednesday 27th June on WARNER MUSIC JAPAN. The historic album features some of the biggest names in music from across the globe who have come together to raise money for Amnesty International and awareness of the organisation’s work – especially in relation to the current crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan. DIGITAL ALBUM ALREADY RELEASED TO HUGE WORLDWIDE SUCCESS
An array of over 30 international stars – including U2, Avril Lavigne, R.E.M, Aerosmith, Christina Aguilera. Green Day, Snow Patrol and Youssou N’Dour – have recorded exclusive versions of iconic songs from the back catalogue of legendary musician and peace activist John Lennon, while Yoko Ono has generously donated all music publishing royalties to the cause.
The physical release of the album follows the massive worldwide success of Instant Karma’s digital release. Released exclusively through iTunes on 12th June, Instant Karma has already clocked up substantial worldwide sales, hitting the number one spot in the iTunes albums chart in Portugal, Greece and Ireland and currently top ten in thirteen countries and top twenty in an additional four.
