4月28日以降、コロンビア大統領の税制改革に応えて、コロンビア全土で人びとが抗議行動に参加しました。デモ参加者が平等を求める彼らの呼びかけの中には、政府とゲリラ「コロンビア革命軍」（FARC） 和平合意実施の遅れと人権擁護家の殺害に対する抗議があります。
デモの参加者は、性的暴力を含む治安部隊による深刻な抑圧的暴力に直面し、催涙ガス、ライフル、および半自動式の武器は、それらを分散させるために抗議者に使用されました。800人以上が人が恣意的に拘留され、一部の抗議者が重傷を負い、死亡した人びともいます。

Since 28 April, thousands of people across Colombia have joined protests in response to a tax reform from President Ivan Duque. Among their calls for equality are protests against the slow implementation of the peace agreement and the killings of human rights defenders.
Their protests were met with brutal violence by military forces and riot police. Tear gas, rifles, and semi-automatic weapons were used on protesters to disperse them. Dozens have been arbitrary detained, some faced sexual violence, other disappeared and many faced excessive use of force.
We have organized an online event with a campaigner from Amnesty International Americas, who will share with us findings of their investigation and asnwer your questions.
