【活動報告】＜9.14 気候アクションウィーク＞ワークショップを開催 / Climate Action Week Workshop

東京で活動するアムネスティ日本のEnglishグループ、AITEN (Amnesty International Tokyo English Network)が中心となり、「ワタシのミライ※」主催の気候アクションウィーク (9月12日〜9月28日)の一環として、ワークショップを開催しました。

17名が参加し、デモやマーチで使えるアートやプラカード作り、環境×人権についてディスカッションなどを行いました。また、高校生のメンバーが中心になって「CLIMATE JUSTICE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS」と書いた大きなバナーを作成しました。できたバナーやプラカードを持って気候アクションウィーク期間中に行われるデモやマーチに参加します。一緒に参加したい方は aitenintokyo@gmail.com までご連絡ください。

ディスカッションでは、気候変動を考える上で畜産に注目した質問や、政府が掲げる「解決策」の正当性について懐疑の声があがりました。また、気候変動の問題とそれに関係する人権侵害をつなげるワークショップも行いました。

On September 14th, AITEN (Amnesty International Tokyo English Network) led a workshop as part of Climate Action Week (9/12~9/28) organized by Watashinomirai. A total of 17 participants made art and signs out of cardboard to be used in protests. A student member led the creation of a large banner made out of an old sheet, which reads 'CLIMATE JUSTICE FOR HUMAN RIGHTS'. Amnesty members and supporters will march / stand with the signs and banner in protests to be held as part of Climate Action Week. In the discussion part, participants raised questions about meat production, as well as false 'solutions' championed by the government. There was also a workshop connecting climate impacts and the associated human rights impacts.
